PCB to set up camp to groom young spinners
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has planned to set up a special camp after Eid-al-Fitr to groom young spinners.
The camp, proposed at the National High Performance Center, will feature spinners who have excelled in domestic cricket.
Before the series against Australia, chief selector Muhammad Waseem also lamented the lack of quality spinners. This has prompted PCB to make an active effort to address the problem.
According to sources, a pool of spinners will be set up separately for Test, ODI and T20 formats.
The selection committee has sought list from the provincial coaches, a camp of spinners will be set up immediately after Eid.
The list will be finalised on the return of Chief Selector Muhammad Waseem from Umrah. One such camp is also proposed for fast bowlers which will be set up on a later date.
