Fazlur Rehman suggests early elections

Fazlur Rehman suggests early elections.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) and a key member of the movement to oust Imran Khan’s government, has said that he wants the General elections in the country should be held soon.
He said that he shall express his desire to hold early general elections with the allies. Addressing his party workers in Islamabad, he said that the newly elected government would also last for a maximum of one year.
“His party has its own identity in the current coalition and we want to tell them that we want early elections,” he said.

According to some political observers, such statements by Maulana Fazlur Rehman could be a prelude to a major probable political storm. However, according to some other political analysts, this may be a reaction to the neglect of him and his party in the formation of the federal cabinet.
Such statements by a key coalition leader could be meaningful just days after Shahbaz Sharif sworn in as prime minister.
