CM Punjab for launching awareness campaign to prevent thalassemia
According to Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz, thalassemia is a deadly and inherited disease that affects not only the patient but also his family members.
In his statement on World Thalassemia Day, he urged the beginning of a vigorous awareness campaign in order to avoid oneself from developing this terrible disease, stating that by raising public awareness of thalassemia, the disease will be considerably reduced. The chief minister has promised to keep fighting till thalassemia is eradicated from the country.
CM pays a visit to the Sundas Foundation to inquire about youngsters with thalassemia: On World Thalassemia Day, Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz paid a visit to Sundas Foundation for Thalassemia prevention and inquired about children with Thalassemia and Haemophilia illnesses.
The CM inquired about each child’s name as well as their well-being. He was gentle with the sick youngsters and wished them a speedy recovery. Selfies with the chief minister were taken by the children. Zunaira, a girl child, sung a song to the CM about the importance of a mother. “You have made me emotional by singing a song on the greatness of a mother,” he stated at the time.
He stated that the Sundas Foundation is at the forefront of providing services to the suffering humanity, and that selfless service to the devastated humanity is a spiritual deed. He claimed that individuals who cause others anguish profit not just in terms of religion but also in terms of the world.
The CM praised Sundas Foundation for doing a good deed by saving the lives of thousands of youngsters suffering from severe diseases.
Sundas Foundation is doing an excellent job of giving healthy blood to Thalassemia and Haemophilia patients, according to CM. He stated that the Punjab government will continue to assist such charitable organisations.
CM also paid a visit to the children’s dental surgery, physiotherapy, lab, and nursing department. He also examined the treatment facilities provided to the children and praised the Sundas Foundation for providing high-quality facilities for the children’s treatment.
Members of the Punjab Assembly, including Khawaja Salman Rafique, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Majid Zahoor, President Sundas Foundation Yaseen Khan, Secretary SH&ME, Commissioner Lahore, DC Lahore, Hassan Nisar, Sohail Warraich, Shoaib Bin Aziz, Atta-Ul-Haq Qasmi, Asif Affan, Najam Wali, Raees Ansari, Arshad Ansari, Imran Goraya and concerned officials also accompanied the CM on this occasion.
